Description of services
On behalf of a German rail vehicle manufacturer, MEV organised the carrying out of test drives for a new traction unit series between Würzburg and Passau. Along with testing the approval situation for the journeys in themselves this task also involved short-term ordering of a timetable from the infrastructure operator in the run-up and the agreement of operatively necessary modifications during the carrying out of the test drives.
The operative running of the test drives was overseen and monitored by an experienced MEV railway manager. A Multi-beam echo sounder (SeaBat 8101) was used.
