We have grown from 30 employees in our foundation year of 1999 to more than 500 in 15 years - the positive trend of our workforce development is a clear sign of the attractiveness of MEV as an employer.

We are the social partners of the Union of German Train Drivers (GDL) and have signed the Federal Framework Train Driver Pay Agreement (BuRa-LfTV (SGV)) as the basis of our performance-oriented pay structure. This agreement defines e.g. a train driver's initial wage and contains stipulations on working and rest hours, shift bonuses, rounds, holidays and other important subjects.

Live in Cottbus, work all over Germany and stay over at MEV's expense – our railway operation staff can keep their home: we carry the cost of accommodation in official lodgings and hotels during working cycles of up to 10 days.

Flat hierarchies, regular basic and further training, internal development and promotion opportunities, individual solutions for combining work and family, punctual payment of wages and various private pension opportunities: there are many reasons, why more than half of our workforce has been with us for more than 10 years.

Executive management and works council work constructively together, further enhancing the attractiveness of MEV as an employer.
